Blake Hill

My first experience with Photography was at the age of six. My Mother gave me a camera containing 27 exposures and suggested that I go out in my Grandfather’s backyard and photograph all things interesting. Several days passed as I eagerly awaited the development of my pictures. The photos arrived in their Kodak envelope, and my Mom erupted with laughter as she thumbed through the prints. I had shot 27 different angles of my Grandfather’s old wooden shed.

Before I started taking pictures professionally, I spent many years behind a TV camera. My passion for capturing a moment resonates from my previous experience as a handheld television camera operator. I spent countless hours shooting sporting events including, pro basketball, volleyball, baseball, football and drag racing. After spending many years as a camera operator, I honed my eye for lighting as a Gaffer in the Feature Film Industry. This is where I fell in love with lights; natural light and that majestic part of the day called The Golden Hour.

I believe the magic of life happens in the blink of an eye. My job as a photographer is to capture the Magic and Preserve the Moment…
